Warranty on Engines and Gearboxes
• Imported Used Engines. One month unlimited kilometres on the internal parts only from the date of purchase. No warranty is covered on any attached accessories and parts such as manifolds, carburettor, distributor, alternator, starter, water pump, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of belt-driven engine and all seals etc.
• Engines are sold without alternator and starter unless otherwise stated on quote or invoice.
• All price are subject to change without notice.
• Used Transmissions: one month from the date of purchase on internal parts only.
Customer Obligations
• Customer must install new oil, oil filter, thermostat, spark plugs, coolant and tune up parts.
• Customer must flush radiator, check water pipes, water pump and change all seals and gaskets where necessary.
• All cam belt engines must be installed with new timing belts.
• All belt-driven engines are required to have a new timing belt installed and set on the correct timing before installation as per manufacture's specifications.
• Check and adjust valve clearance and tune up.
• Customer is responsible to verify parts for fitness, proper size and application prior to installation. We assume no liability for parts incorrectly installed as the result of errors in ordering, packing and shipping.
Limitations
This warranty shall not apply to or include any of the following:
• Repair or replacement as a result of any accident, misuse, collision, upset, fire, negligence, alteration, racing events, improper installation or repair.
• Labour cost, downtime, towing charges, freight charges, rental and comprehensive insurance claims etc.
• Oil leaks, blown head gasket and overheating due to poor cooling system.
• Bent valves, lock up or back fire due to broken timing belt or wrong timing set. New timing belt must be installed on all belt-driven engines before installation.
• Internal damage caused by dropping obstacles into combustion chambers.
Warranty
• All engines and gearboxes to be fitted by a registered RMI workshop. Proof that all below items have been purchased and fitted to be submitted within 14 days via e mail or whatsapp : ( Invoices ) Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, thermostat, all belts including cambelt, cambelt tensioner, all oil seals, and radiators are to be cleaned by a recognised radiator specialist shop. Failure to provide documented proof will void all warranties.
• Guarantee is null and void if: -upon inspection it is found that the engine was, dismantled, stripped, modified, overheated, over revved or misused.
• No Returns or refunds will be issued on goods that are correctly supplied. At the discretion of Engineland, you may be charged up to a 20% handling fee. In the event that your vehicle has not been "data -dotted" , the Traffic department will require that you have this done before you may clear your engine. This is at your own cost and Engineland cannot be held liable for said costs under any circumstances.
• ENGINELAND is not liable for any labour charges, towing costs, freight charges, vehicle hire, downtime or loss of income due to the failure of a product. Please bear in mind you are purchasing a second hand item and there will always be an element of risk to you.
• Other checks: Please note that Water pumps are to be checked and are not covered by warranty. If found to be faulty or worn, it is to be replaced at the purchasers expense. Any damage caused by faulty water pump will not be covered by warranty. Please ensure that the water temp gauge, oil pressure light and cooling fan are in working order. Please check the sump for dents before fitment. Engineland will not be held liable for damage to engine due to oil starvation caused by a dented sump. No Auxiliary parts or electrical parts are covered by the guarantee.
• Diesel engines must have injectors tested and pump timing calibrated at the purchasers expense. Please inspect your engine prior to payment and acceptance of product as the engines are sold ( as is with warranty) No auxiliary parts will be exchanged/replaced after the product has left the premises. Auxiliary parts list - Throttle position sensor, knock sensor, distributor, alternator, starter, power steering pump, crank sensor, solenoids, pulleys, tappet covers, oil sump, filter housings, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, injectors, plug leads, distributor cap, clutch and flywheel.
• 1 month guarantee on gearboxes unless otherwise stated. No guarantee on any gearbox being used in a modification or performance vehicle.
• Please ensure your propshaft is correctly balanced as a broken or damaged extension housing will not be covered by your guarantee. A new spigot shaft bearing must be fitted. There will be no guarantee on broken gears or burnt gearboxes due to low oil. New seals are to be fitted to gearboxes before installation. Please ensure that all gearbox mountings are in good condition. Only use the oil specified by the manufacturer. Damage caused by incorrect oil use will not be covered under guarantee. Warranty/Refunds All claims will be subject to a full inspection of the item being returned and will be processed within 72 hours. Items are to be returned in the same condition as they were received. (complete) Under no circumstance may you or your mechanic strip or dismantle an engine for diagnosis.
